Often referred to as the "Ed Sheeran of metal" by her peers, Lauren knows no collaborative bounds and continues to bridge the gap between the traditional music industry and the content creator world.

As a self-made independent artist, Lauren prides herself on her organic growth and authenticity, resisting societal and industry pressures. She is also a dedicated educator, with a Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of Toronto and a Bachelors of Education degree from Nipissing University. In 2023, she developed and launched a comprehensive vocal course and curriculum in collaboration with vocal coach, Chris Liepe. Lauren Babic's musical journey began at the age of two, when her parents enrolled her in music classes. She grew up playing piano for ten years and was actively involved in her high school band, where she played the trumpet for four years. At 16, she joined a ska band and played trumpet, drawing early influences from iconic bands like Linkin Park and Blink-182.

Her singing career began at 17 when she joined Toronto metal band Red Handed Denial (RHD) where it was the first time she ever sang in front of other people. She began posting vocal cover videos on YouTube in 2011 to promote RHD and improve her recording skills. She achieved her first viral moment in 2012 with her covers of Periphery's "Scarlet" and "Make Total Destroy," which were featured by Metal Sucks and garnered over 100,000 views.

Lauren's career continued to soar with her covers of "King for a Day" in 2019 and "Lovely" in 2020, the latter accumulating over 20 million views on YouTube and over 30 million streams across audio platforms. In 2017, she co-founded an international collaboration band, CrazyEightyEight (C88) with Jarrod Alonge, going on to raise $50,000 on Kickstarter for their debut album Burning Alive.

Lauren has released four studio albums and two EPs with RHD, one studio album and three EPs with C88, and a solo pop EP called Silence Is The Only Sound.
